Henri Salvador was a French singer born on July 18, 1917 and died on February 13, 2008. He is credited with helping inspire both the bossa nova and the music video. He was among the first performers to set his songs to televised images, which prompted some in France to call him the father of the music video.

Freedom for KingKong is a fusion band that was formed in 1994 in Lorient, France. The band members are Bring’s on vocals, Ton on keyboards, Bubu and Ben on drums-Percussion, and Djey on guitars. The music that FKK makes is strongly influenced by different musical artists, but their style remains true to the band’s reggae roots.

Alliance Ethnik was a 1990s French hip hop group composed of five members from Algeria, Congo, Italy, and France. The group began recording in 1994, and their first album entitled Simple & Funky in 1995, which included singles Simple & Funky, Respect, and Honesty & Jalousie.

113 is a French hip hop group with African and Caribbean roots. 113 was formed in the Parisian suburb of Vitry-sur-Seine, with Tonton du Bled as their most famous song. 113’s name comes from the name of the building in a housing estate where the members spent much of their youth.

David Guetta, a French DJ, was born on November 7, 1967 and began mixing his first vinyls at the age of 13. His work as a DJ at Broad in Paris when he was 17 launched his career, and he continued to mix house music at Radio Nova. Vocals on many of his singles are performed by singer Chris Willis.

A French record producer, house music DJ, remixer, and owner of the label Yellow Productions, Bob Sinclar was born on May 10, 1967 and his real name is Christophe Le Friant. He started being a DJ back in 1986, and his first club hit “Gym Tonic” was co-produced by Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk.
